Shipping Clubs overseas

I'm heading to Australia and taking my clubs with me (putter, 9 irons, 1 driver) not bag, buggy, shoes etc.

I have the original box I bought my irons in, but it wouldn't fit the driver. I was planning on shippng the irons & putter together, and the driver in a seperate box, which a golf shop kindly gave me.

Has anyone shipped clubs before? Is it simply a case of heading down to the post office & sending away?

I heard I should clean & disinfect them, and put a notice on them saying that I did that - for foot & mouth purposes.

    Any advice appreciated.

you can calculate how much it will cost to ship

dont think we really need to be worrying about foot and mouth these days

Cleaning/disinfecting them and putting a note on to that effect is a very wise idea especially if they are going to Oz. Australian customs are very fussy.
