    Hi all,
Is it me or have most people posting on here managed to get a Wii? I was on this forum over the last few weeks and there seemed to be SO many people looking for a Wii. Now however that number seems to have dwindled sharply, maybe its me or maybe most people have given up on getting one?

    Cheers,
    M

I missed the boat for the Launch date of Dec 8th, actually HMV screwed me over with their pre-order as they got only a handful of Wiis in and nothing since. However, I managed to grab a Wii from Smyths from the 2nd batch delivered to Ireland last Fri. I had no pre-order but queued up to get one in the morning. It appears many people also managed to get one from Smyths and also from any pre-orders for the 2nd batch that people did not come to collect. Unfortunately, any Wiis available last Fri were sold out again and they are scarce as gold dust again. There are rumors of more Wiis arriving this week but no confirmation yet. Keep your eye for info. here, that's how I found out about the 2nd batch of deliveries, now keep a look out for the 3rd batch - if there is one.

Some people were lucky and managed to get them in shops or from amazon, and the rest of us are are thanking eBay ;)
I was in Gamestop in Douglas Court in Cork yesterday and was told I would be very lucky to get my hands on one before February or even March!!!

Have a look on Ebay.de , there are some good deals there . I got one for €301 earlier, which is not bad considering it would have killed me to hand over over €279 to say Smyths , as they couldn't have been more unhelpfull or rude if they tried :(

It's because the regulars here are gamers and pre-ordered their Wii. The people who thought they could stroll in and pick one up don't have as much interest in games and didin't predict the demand for the console.

    Got Wii?

    I do....

    ...because I pre-ordered.

    It's a tough life.

    :)

    I mock their foolishness.

Apperently in the states the amount of people queuing for a new batch of Wii's is comparable to the launch day.
