Am new to this and find it a real whack job, so while i probably havent a clue what i am on about here and I guess it doesnt really matter , has anyone got any tips or dont do advice. Oh yeah any thoughts on this hand for the craic would be good too. I guess the flop is irrelevant when I am that short and yeah at best i am looking for a split unless up against ace two or am i way off. Say for example if the positions were reversed and I was deeper stacked, all what ifs granted, shouid i still push .... Feel free to disregard or disembowel as seen fit, its only a 24 buck tourney

nice to have that confirmed seems me jumping out the window of this tenth floor hotel. No doubt its a quality game this hi/lo, just one thing i was wondering is there ever any way you could advocate for folding ace two or ace three preflop, or is calling for a split just not kosher. One other hand that bothered me there is this one, think i played the turn badly and burned myself needlessley, sp, I think, but you know yourself when trying out new games and lower ones, its funky to try to win pots in different ways

you can fold a lot of A3 hands and some A2 hands preflop, at least in pot limit, say something like AK93 no suits in the blinds facing a raise from a good player, should be a very easy fold. And calling hoping for a split is generally a bad idea unless the pot has got very big, you want to have some way to win more than 1/2 the pot.

In the hand you played the turn fine, you have the nut low, a straight for high, and some chance of 3/4ing anyone who is splitting with you. I would probably raise preflop and call the flop, but the way you played is also OK.

yeah I know what you are saying about those raggedy a 2 xx hands and certainly those ace 3 x x ones. Certainly when the board, if it does, comes a 4 x x x you are in deep doo doo as your ace basically can be worth fk all yet you see guys going broke on those ones. My biggest problem on that last hand is that, as you say, i am chopping for the nut low and a guy is freerolling with the flush draw if he has turned it. In a multi way pot, you got to consider that the chop is almost a given on the low. What the two pair was doing I have no freaking idea, esp on the turn , ironically enough i think he was the one who busted me. As for the raise yeah I probably should have, though i do find its a big fault in my game esp in plo that I dont raise often enough on such hands, which ultimately is my own fault. I do it think comes from the fact that at the lower stakes , say .25/ 50 and .5/1 , six max, there is no freaking way guys are folding, its just not a thought process they consider. And sure the justification is always the same, " its omaha, no hand can be folded", so much so to the point that it seems to me at least, that if you play like rocky balboa from rock town, that you can ship a lot of donkeys money your way.
