If it as karoma suggests, eh yeah do.
If it is a mistake you wil have to pay it back if they find out.

don't touch it. the bank will make you pay it back if it is a mistake.
check with the bank tomorrow morning and hope for the best.

Transfer it to one of the spanish lottery guys or an one of the african kings that emails us all.
They will hold it and give you a good interest rate.

The best thing to do is leave it for at least a week, maybe two. If it is still there, then spend it like its 1999.

Spend it all, tell the bank its their own lookout and you ain't paying it back. Best thing to do is get a tip from one of the chaps in the Horse Racing forum and bet the lot of it so you can give the bank their part back and have some of your own.*
Call them in zee morning and see what its aboot.:)

*do not do this! no disrespect. :D

If you are really, really stuck for cash, you could use it as an interest free loan.

    Please don't do this.

I once noticed an extra €10,000 in my account one Thursday afternoon. Needless to say I assumed the ATM was wrong. So I went to the other one beside it and checked again. The same balance was there.

The things that came into my head was unreal.
"Hmmmm..may get a new video camera...new tv perhaps".

Went back home wondering how €10k ended up in my account. It turned out it was a lodgement to my mams account, but my sister picked up my lodgement book and wrote out all the details, went to the bank, but they wouldn't accept a third party cheque unless it's signed on the back.

My sister unknown to all this, went home to the mother and my mam in the mind on the moon mind she was in, signed it on the back resulting in €10k in my account 15 minutes later.

Btw, confusing as it may seem, she was transferring the money from her personal account to a savings account.

I should have said nothing. :)
