A comprehensive and up to date release date for 2007 would be useful. The defining releases of 2007 methinks...

    1. Phaorahe Monch - Desire (Jan)
    2. Talib Kweli - Eardrum (Jan)
    3. RZA - Afro Samurai (Jan)
    4. Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory (Feb)
    5. GhostDoom - Swift & Changeable (Feb)
    6. RJD2 - The Third Hand (Spring)
    7. Nas - The Lost Tapes 2 (Spring)(Any info on this?)
    8. Common - Finding Forever (Summer)
    9. Brother Ali - The Undisputed Truth (Summer)
    10. Kanye West - Graduation (2007)

These sound pretty nice as well...

    Buckshot & 9th Wonder - The Formula
    Little Brother - Getback
One Be Lo - L.I.F.E. (Lo Is For Everybody)
    Havoc - Kush
Saigon - The Greatest Story Never Told
Rakim - The Seventh Seal( Can't wait for this...)
Immortal Technique - The Middle Passage
9th Wonder - The Dream Merchant Vol. 2
    Killah Priest - The Offering
Massive Attack - Weather Underground(   )

I'm basically working off of this list. Some exciting tempting projects there, shame most of it probably won't see the light of day,or else get pushed back. The day I get a new Lauryn Hill,Portishead Or Dre album for example...:(

However the album I'm looking forward too above all else is Klashnekoff's - Tussle With The Beast. With the right production this dude could create an absolute stunner.

Definitely looking forward to the new Chamillionaire album. Be interesting to see if he can maintain the same level of skills now that he's blown up.

I know a lot of people hate 50 Cent but I'm always interested to hear his stuff, hopefully we'll hear something a bit more GRoDT than TM this time round.

I'm also hopeful of seeing Detox drop.

I don't know if Fort Minor are working on anything.. But I love their stuff too.

I haven't heard anything on Fort Minor.Aren't Linkin Park supposed to drop an album produced by Rick Rubin?Shame really I'd take Fort Minor above the trash Linkin Park put out anytime...

I'd like to see Detox as well, but I don't expect it.

The Gizah and Raekwon are dropping as well. There is probably a dozen or so Wu affiliated albums to drop as well.Could be a big year for the Rizah if he steps up to the plate...

Can't argue with any of those. Just a thought.... How many of those will get pushed back??

i'd have techniques Middle Passage as a defining release. hes worked on it so long now it could turn out to be a true classic. I hear Killah Priest is dropping something like Heavy Mental(one of the heaviest on the mind albums ever).

Dangermouse and Damon Alburn are releasing an album together too

Probably quite a few if this year was anything to go by. Almost half of those albums Orizio listed were supposed to be out this year.

Immortal Technique's will be pushed back again I reckon.

For the underground,EL-P's album would probably be the biggest release of the year, definetly a bigger release then the Ali and IT albums. However Brother Ali is one of the best MC's out there and he will have better production then IT so i'm anticipating his album the most.

As for Killah Priest, it depends who he has on production. If the list above is accurate, then the chronically underrated 4th Disciple will be pretty busy with other projects.TBH I don't think he should try to repeat Heavy Mental.

What do people think of Talib and Monch's chances of making a significant commercial break throughs next year?

Don't be soft - I've Paid In Full. And Cham was definitely the biggest star to break this year - he can rap and he does have skills.

Calm down.Cham's a fine MC.And yes I have got the whole of Rakim's catalogue, not that that should matter.

Aes Rock is putting something out next year too. So is Cormega, he's been working on "Urban Legend" for years but looks like he's just doing it over. Title will prob be changed and I think 'Dirty game' is the only leaked track remaining. Also new Atmosphere and a new Felt album. Ant won't be producing it though.
New Mac Lethal as well. The underground was quiet this year but there should be a good few quality releases next year.

btw The new Brother Ali will be leaking soon.

Dirty Game was attached to the end of My Brother's Keeper, so I doubt we'll see it on the next Mega solo.

It was. Then again killaz theme is on about three of his albums. Who knows if it will though. My guess is he's not going to leave a primo track go to waste. And I read somewhere that it was making it.
