Do wavebirds work on the wii?

do the wireless gamecube controllers work on the wii? ill be getting a couple of gc controllers off ebay and i was wondering do the wavebirds work on the wii also what are they like ive never actually used a wavebird before.

I suppose they should, the wavebird receiver is the same a controller plug so there shouldn't be any difference.

Then again, i don't have one so i can't say for sure. The normal ones work fine and the games work a treat (played a bit of Resident Evil 4 Soul Calibur II earlier )

Yes, they work fine. Also Wavebirds > Regular.

Wavebirds are bigger, but as comfortable to hold; they take 2 AA batteries, but they last for ages. They're pretty much the same as a regular controller, except without wires. Of course, that means you have the same crappy d-pad for Virtual Console games. Why can't I use the analog stick, Nintendo?

I waved a chicken in front of the wii and nothing happend. Maybe there somthing wrong with my bird.

all gamecubes accessories work on the wii except for gameboy player
