    hi,

i'm thinking of setting up a web site that will allow users to post info to the world.

we will have a disclaimer that the site owners do not accept responsibility for the individual users comments etc etc

what are the legalities for setting up this sort of site ? are we liable for slanderous comments made ?

    thanks

    In short - yes

So liable that in practice you're more liable than the people who post (since you can be found more easily).
