Looks like a load of b0ll0cks to me written by somebody who's just messed up in the head. Even all the name dropping of the pros, like Todd and Doyle Brunson, Phil Gordon, it's fairly pathetic stuff if you ask me.

Wow, read all 60 pages. Sounds like she's very emotionally unstable and desperate for fame/money. I remember The Captain's "daughter" from the macau too. This is an absolutely crazy story and I'm still not sure whats true and whats not.

Just finished 61 pages. (admittedly skipped a few...). I don't know if it is true or not. We don't know if brandi is mentally stable or whatever. Anyone who seems to know her takes the view that she is insane and everything she wrote is bull****.. She also targetted Dutch Boyd who himself has bipolar disorder! She is a former stripper who has been hanging around with poker players for 2 months. For all we know she was having an affair with Tom Franklin and when he stopped lending her money/or broke it off with her she flipped. She sounds like an intelligent person from the posts. She even quoted herself a few times, highlighting points she made in her initial post that back up her story. These points were all quite subtle and IMO the fact that she has made them in the first place, and now highlighted them (and noticed them herself) give weight to the fact she probably made them up.

One guy points out that no cop or lawyer would take her case and that is why she turned to a public forum. I don't think that is the case. I'd say there are a ton of lawyers (esp in Nevada) who would love to approach Tom Franklin for an out-of-court settlement if this whole thing were true. Also, Tom Franklin has totally exposed himself for the sake of 9k. The guy made over 1M last year, and we know for a fact he made a bitof money a few weeks back.

I reckon they had an affair. They swapped a bit of money, he paid for her into a few satellites etc... She was a losing player and captain eventually grew bored of the affair. I would say Captain has a previous bad reputation with women (this was backed up by a few people) and brandi is using that against him. I don't think he's totally innocent here. I think something went on, but IMO Brandi has highly exaggerated it all.

Although, saying that - it might explain why Tom Franklin is hiding out down in cork.. and come to think of it he did say his daughter was over in ireland with him lol

Yeah I don't think it's entirely fabbricated. But I defiinitely wouldn't be taking it at face value. Just the fact that she posted it up on a public forum is enough for me to think the girl is nuts in the head. I mean why the hell would you do that?

I feel bad for her, because she's obviously unstable and needs help, but as I said I wouldn't believe a word out of her mouth.

Yeah to be fair to him he is diagnosed with bi-polar disorder which is a pretty serious recognised mental illness. It's a strange disorder, people can be fine for months at a time and then experience sudden highs or lows due to chemical inbalances in the brain. Looks to me like he was on one of his highs when most of those videos were recorded which would explain why he seems a bit weird.

Whilst Brandi was at fault for a lot of things, it seems she didn't deserve all that happened too her.

Yeah I think I'd probably agree with that. It's like an episode of 'The Young and the Restless'. What on earth she was thinking when she decided to post it on twoplustwo we'll never know. I think she's full of **** though, but I suppose there has to be some grain of truth to the story and Franklin probably is a scumbag, I just think she's a bit of a tool herself also.

What a lot of scumbags post on 2p2.

I seem to be lucky... I've only met nice people involved in poker. Maybe the Irish scene is different. Maybe I haven't played enugh in the states. But I can only think of one guy I wanted to punch at a poker table and that was in the UK.

The bad boys of poker in states really are bad boys if half of what we read is true. Who's the bad boys of Irish poker. Tony Rafter and Fintan Gavin???

Two possibilities only.

1: She's made the whole thing up. Result_ She needs counselling.
2: She's telling the truth. Result_ She needs counselling.

The caveat to 2 is that whilst she might be telling the truth it won't be the whole truth but a skewed version where the parts that make her look bad are left out.

FWIW - 2 is more likely for the following reason. The alleged assault is rather pathetic. As are the sums of money involved. If it was pure fantasy it would be richer in the storytelling.
