Bought a RGB Scart yesterday, and I've found the quality isn't as improved as I had been hoping.
RGB scart on the gamecube made a huge difference to the machine, but seems only minor with the Wii

anyone else found this? or is my lead poopy

Might be plugged into a socket that doesn;t support Scart. I have 3 sockets but only 1 supports scart on my TV. The best way to know if you are getting a proper scart signal is the elimination of the moving checker effect were two contrasting colours meet.

Actually playing Zelda on a cube today via Component, it looked better than the wii's zelda via component. ?

On wii it all looks murkey and washed out, yet the cubes had more difference in brightness/ contrast and seemingly more detail.

Has the wii got some issues with it's output ?

We all saw the videos of wii games like Zelda & Red Steel and they looked sharper than what we are getting ? I put this down to the composite picture, but it seems not. Maybe the pal wii has some output issues ?

Compared Zelda on my Wii and Zelda on my GameCube and if anything the Wii one looks better.

I bought the RGB Scart yesterday.

It seems less blurry, less colour bleeding and a smoother picture. Not by much, but enough for me to be happy I got them.

I have only one RGB Scart, the other is an S-video scart, I havent tested in that scart socket yet to see what the difference is.

Gave up looking for a scart cable in the city centre yesterday. I have a feeling I'll have zelda done and dusted before I get my hands on one.

Well on the Northside anyway. Gamestop said they sold out of scart and component cables 10 minutes after opening. They only got 10.

I got mine (RGB SCart) on sat in Liffey Valley Game. I could see there was one or two left in the glass shelve behind the counter.

    32 quid I think.

Might be worth a ring if someone is looking.

Game in Patrick Street in Cork have the HD and the RGB scart cables. RGb cable made a big difference for me. Make sure 60hz mode is set to on also.
