Final Table Play

Just curious as to some of the play people use when they make the final table. Do you sit back wait for people to get knocked out to move up a few pay grades. Or do you get in there straight away and start playing.

Ive made a few final tables lately and have been sitting well at them above average chip stack. And there has been the usual 1 or 2 short stacks at the table, would u lay down a hand that you would normally play against a rise and wait for the short stacks to get busted or get involved?

Example final table in the Sporting Emporium lastnite very first hand my small blind and i look down and have QQ folded around to the chip leader who has a monster of a stack has me well covered and raises the standard 3xBB so i pushed all in and got called A6 and hit the Ace to knock me out.

You did nothing wrong with the QQ, just got unlucky.

I think if you have a decent stack it's worth sitting back until it's 5 or 6 handed, when your stack can be used better. It all depends on how big the blinds are of course. You still have to play your monsters no matter how many people are at the table though.

Find a hand (or find a spot) close your eyes and shove. Most Irish tournies dont have the room to do anything else due to the structures.
    Aggression is the key usually.

That hand was just an example, the main theme of my post was to get feed back as to what way people play when they reach a final table.

Thanks for the genuine feed back so far.
