The 80gig iPod is a hell of alot cheaper on American Amazon than it is over here. Are there any reputable online stores in the US that'll ship an iPod over here? €250ish sounds alot more attractive than €399ish.

iPods have a history of breaking. If you buy it here, shipping won't be as costly when you have to send it in for repair.

Complete tosh ! You register your ipod to your home address and if anything happens it will go to Amsterdam for repair. If this happens within your warranty period it costs you nowt !

To the OP point, have always bought ipods n stuff in the US but I'm over there a few times a year. The only online source i know of that will ship from the US is ebay.
