Salicylic acid, the precursor of modern aspirin Asprin (acetylsalicylic acid) has been used for may thousand of years as a pain relief treatments, including the use of powder made from the bark and leaves of the willow tree to help heal headaches, pains and fevers and hangovers

    Here is the link

But lots of water and B vitamins will speed thing up. Also a good bottle conditioned beer if she chooses the hair of the dog, the yeast contains also of B vitamins

solpadeine and motilium are the best I find.
Solpadeine sorts the head while the motilium keeps it down long enough to work.

A strong cup of coffee and a slap across the face (preferably with a wet fish)

She is refusing to take medication so i would assume these are a no go.

Best cure is prevention... she should have had PLENTY of water in between drinks and maybe a painkiller before going to bed. Probably only have a mild headache as opposed to an earthquake.
