Broken Blues Junior.

    I ordered a Fender Blues Junior off thomann which arrived yesterday.

    I powered it up but no joy. I checked the back and one of the tubes had come out and i re attached it. Still no joy but now it just makes a buzzing noise.

    I'm convinced this is all DHLs fault. The box looks like its been really thrown around the place. I ordered a 5 pack of strings that i never got either.

    Whats my best plan of action now?

    Take photos of any relevant damage. Contact Thomann immediately. Don't say to them that you think its DHLs fault cos that just lets them off the hook. All you say is "it arrived and it doesn't work". They should arrange to have it collected at their expense and send you another one per their policy which is on their site (have a read).

    At the end of the day you should end up with a working amp and not be out one penny. Dont accept anything less. But I'd say be prepared for it to take a LONG time, unfortunately.

    They've arranged for ups to collect it on monday.

    So it could take a month or two yeah?

    Well, it sounds like your off to a good start anyway!
    I have no idea really how long it might take, I'd imagine other posters on here could share their experiences with you.

    My main amp, 25 watts on steroids, with a lovely tone. I replaced the speaker with a Jennsen 12N to sweeten it up a little. Good buy.

    My blues junior arrived a month ago with a tube out too but it started working again when I put the tube back in...

    They also messed up the reverb tank, apparently its a common enough problem though. If the reverb isn't working when you get the amp back check http://machrone.home.comcast.net/bjr/fixreverb.htm. It's easy to fix, just pushing a wire back into a push-connector thing. And theres no opening the actual amp so it's pretty safe.

    Enjoy the amp, it's great little yolk.
