Charlton could be dodgy... And West Ham have a new manager. There's some outrageous one sided games tonigh that I have doubles on, Braga to beat the (14/1) Grasshoppers for example :D

Chelsea and Man Utd to be laid, it's time one/both slipped up - certainly Utd are must lay material - Also fancy Tevez to find the net, will buy goal mins on the spreads at 9.

Shame on you backing Macclesfield county! They are the enemy! Only after waking up which is not the best news considering I was gonna back Liverpool HT-FT. Bugger!

Anyway onwards and upwards with Saturdays Hungover Accumulator. (Work Party last night, don't remember much but I do remember getting a bit shirty with my boss whos from Galway about the fact that his team got promoted to the premier league ahead of Dundalk, "ITS ALL YOUR FAULT" is what I vaguely remember shouting at him.) Oops.

Harrow Borough V Chelmsford @10/11: This is a bet thats flying around a few forums and it looks pretty tasty to me. Its 14th V 6th and the away team are one of the favourites to get promoted this year. Harrow have lost 10 in a row while Chelmsford have won 8 of their last 10. Don't know too much bout the Ryman League but with them stats the 10/11 on offer looks like great value.

Nottingham Forest V L Orient @ 4/11: Top V Bottom here in what should be an easy home win. Although Forest weren't great against Salisbury in the cup in midweek they're league form has been consistent and I don't think they'll slip up today

Reading V Blackburn (+1)@4/6: Blackburns impressive win against Nancy midweek could signal a return to a side who are 4th from bottom. Reading are having a great season but Blackburns side are more than capable of getting at least a draw today. Reading will miss the pacey Bobby Convey and Blackburn know they can't afford to slip up today.

    Arsenal(HT-FT)
V Portsmouth@1/1: Arsenal were very good in hammering Spurs in their last home game. Although they only beat Wigan 1-0 midweek they had more than enough chances to show they are playing well without Henry. Portsmouth have never beaten Arsenal in the premiership while Arsenal are unbeaten at home this season. HT-FT is a bit risky but I reckon Arsenal could win cosily today.

Macclesfield V Accrington Stanley is a game I'M STAYING AWAY FROM! I will however be taking them on next week.

    Saturdays Accumulator:
    40 Points: Chelmsford, Notts Forest, Blackburn(+1), Arsenal(HT-FT)= 7.68/1

    20 Points: Dott to bt Hendry@5/4, Hamburg(17/10), Cardiff@5/4, Gretna@8/15= 20/1

    Good Luck To All Today.

No good. Chelmsford and Blackburn had good away wins at decent prices but Arsenal decided to wait til they were 2-0 down before they started to play. And why on earth was Aliadere playing instead of Adebayor. Notts Forest were beating by bottom club Leyton Orient. Right I'm off to see who Macclesfield are playing next week.

My sentiments exactly Pighead. I have so much respect for Wenger however from time to time he comes out with some baffling decisions. Adebayor is in form at the moment and changed the game around when he was brought on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Yeah it took Adebayor about 2 mins to surpass Aliaderes entire 1st half output. I assumed Adebayor must have been carrying a knock but he looked fighting fit when he did come on. Starnge decision by Arsene.

Anyway gonna have a go with Slough V East Thurrock in the Rymans League tonight. The away teama re 6/5 for the victory. The good thing about this bet is that Slough are absolute pants and lie 21st out of 22 in the table. The bad thing about it is East Thurrock are not much better and lie in 18th.

Slough have lost 7 of their last 10 games and most of their 1st team regulars have left them over the past month. Heres a couple of comments from the Slough Fans Forum after their last match when they were beaten 3-0 at home by 7th place Hampton

"Always a tough task against Hampton anyway, but especially with the current problems and adding new players into the mix along with those playing out of position - and a severe lack of matches.

We don't create enough and that's our biggest problem, but we can only hope Westy can bring some new talent in on the cheap."

"also thought the players gave their all again yesterday...but unfortunately it seems that we cannot attract the type of overall squad that is good enough for this level. it seems the best policy will be to build for next season and accept that relegation is coming."

Sounds like the Slough fans are feeling pretty pessimistic about their teams chances for the remainder of the season. As I say the fact that East Thurrock are no world beaters puts a bit of dodginess into the bet but I think its worth chancing considering just how bad Slough seem to be right now. Also East Thurrock beat Slough both home and away last season.

    Verdict:
20 Points on East Thurrock to bt Slough@6/5
    20 Points on Middlesborough(DNB)@6/5
10 Points Double: East Thurrock and Boro(DNB)@3.84/1
