The sixty's comedy series was a big hit with children and adults alike. My favourite characters were Mr Haney, Hank Kimble and Sam Drucker. "Arnold" the pig was also a big hit. I checked the web-site and found that most of the actors lived to a very ripe old age. Even the signature tune was great ! They dont make comedy like that anymore. RTE should do a re-run.

"Green acres is the place to be ..." I'm only 28 and I remember this. It's not that old (Well, by RTE's standards anyway).

Watched it on RTE about 20 summers back. I did'nt know it from Adam when it began but it became required viewing.

Actually it was her sister, Eva.

Favorite back then. A little silly comedy never hurt none. ;)

Also like the crossover show Petticoat Junction.

Only a nipper at the time, opening tune remains in my mind.
