    I'm new to this online purchasing lark and need a little help, I registered on Ebay today and won a bid. When it came to paying I was told that my Paypal registration was incomplete and I need to enter my 4-digit Expanded Use Number which will be on my next credit card statement, I am not registered for internet banking with AIB to check this online and my statement won't arrive in the post for another month. This was a complication I had not foreseen. Is there anyway round this problem or is my only option to pay by cheque? Any help would be appreciated.

    There are restrictions on the amount that you are allowed to send, so until you get the 4 digit number for the deposit that Paypal make then you will have to find another method of payment. You could call your CC issuer and see if the deposit has been made.

    Thanks for that. I have registered for online banking today so I am waiting to see if the deposit has gone through, it is not on the statement yet but I believe it takes a few days to come through. I'll wait and see...

    OK, I managed to pay for my item, it cost about e30 and haven't recieved it yet, I now have a note under the seller saying:

    eBay Note: This user is no longer registered on eBay.

    Should I be worried about this, it certainly doesn't look very promising :eek: .
