    Hi Guys

I have a HTPC with MCE 2005 on it, I have downloaded all the updates etc, I was previously able to use NTL analogue in my TV card Happage. I now have NTL Digital and I got a Scart to S-video convertor from Maplin. But when I tried turning in the stations it is only giving me the sound and no pricture - could it be that my PC card only acepts analogue? If so could you recoment a TV card that will work with NTL Digital and MCE?

In addition to that does anyone know where to put the IR blaster on the NTL Pace STB, could not fin it for the life of me!

    Thanks!!!

ntl stb's dont output svideo afaik.
does your tv card have composite inputs?
    you should be using those.

ir blaster should point to the left of the card slot on the smaller box

I'm assuming you are juding the lack of signal from the setup stage of MCE?

Scart is directional. Ie It can carry both in and out signals. It may be as simple as the SCART lead you have only going in one (read the wrong) direction. Ins and outs are (naturally) wired on different pins.

Some SCART to RCA adaptors have a direction switch on them too.

Just stick the bead for the IR blaster on the front left of the STB, about 2in from the side. Best the the signal issue sorted out though!

if the pc card has a composite imput then it should be fine.
are you going thorugh the entire tv setup again?

there should be composite 1 and 2 on the imput page, it might be one of them.

failing that, does your tv card have its own software that you can try?
download it from hauappge website and see if the compisite works outside of mce
