Have been off this board for a few weeks but thought I'd mention, in case anyone else hasn't, that MTV Trax seems to be FTA. Still there today.

Whats the transponder codes and what does the channel appear as?
Must say the bliss/flaunt launch is brilliant with good 5-6 channels of music now.
Side point, my CNN gone last few days, hows everyone elses?

Channel appears as "$MTV Trax" but is FTA. Might be a test or a mistake. Don't have the tranponder info to hand as I'm not at home, but I think the transponder info corresponds to where you'd find it if you were subscribed.

CNN is fine on my system. Sounds to me like your dish has got slightly misaligned (wind issues?). If you think that's possible maybe you should point it back very slightly towards east. (But wait for advice from the real experts here before getting out the ladder.)

Signal from CNN, like some of the shopping channels, seems to generally be weaker than BBC or SKY.

I just searched and found the station using the above frequency.

So is this going to be a new music channel?

The ID says "MTV Trax" now.

I'm wondering if this is really a feed for3g networks to allow them make videos music available on phones. The track titles appear in an enormous font size... for viewing on a small screen ?

That could also explain the very poor picture quality on this channel

I was thinking similar for 2 reasons:

The quality of the picture is not amazing, the other FTA music channels are much better.

MTV Trax, as a Sat channel does not exist (well obvioulsy it does, but not in the MTV Sat family) but does exisit on the 3G network...

Ahh well, in the end as long as it stays FTA I don't mind who or what or why we have it :)

It kinda reminds me of MTV back in the day, you know, when it actually played music!
