Crocop joins UFC!!??

    Dana White being quite pro active lad these days apparently according to Sherdog and T nation hes about to sign Crocop for the UFC ...

    wouldnt be so sure he kill silvia, very hard to kick him because when its tried he steps in and knocks em out. not a fan of the maniac but he has improved immensly over the last two years. he learned to avoid take downs after Mir, tightened up his defense big time after orlovski. very hard to beat now i reckon

    It isnt definate and might stay with Pride but UFC is likely.I hope he goes to UFC as he would kill all of UFC exept Chuck(maybe)

    Crocop and Heath Herring could provide a great mix to the UFC heavy weight division.

    He hasn't signed anything as of yet and Pride have apparently offered him 2.5 mil a fight contract which may keep his interest.

    As far as Herring goes, he will add depth to the division, but he's not champion material.

    Personally, I'll believe Crocop in the UFC when I see it. He would smash anyone in the UFC HW roster.

    As for Heath Herring, I think that, as is, he'd walk in as no. 4 in the UFC HW division, but with the right camp and training he could definitely be in with a shot for the title.

    Both are very, very marketable guys to an American audience, but I'd don't know if management will pony up the money for the likes of Mirko.

    Oh I think they have the money and are fully willing to pay it for Crocop. Not to have Crocop in the UFC, but to take away from Pride. Crocop is the biggest marketable star in Japan, foreign to Japan. Even more marketable than Fedor.

    Taking Crocop from Pride would really hurt them. With Pride's unsteady feet over this TV deal downfall, UFC know now is the right moment to try and start hacking away at Pride before they start to compete further in the US market.

    UFC are obviously very concious about competition, and their purchases of WFA and WEC prove this.

    I have no doubt in my mind that they are ready to buy Crocop. Sylvia is destroying their HW division with his lackluster, defensive-orientated fights. Crocop would be the spark that they need to have exciting title matches.
