Masters in Marketing

    Hi,

I'm probably getting ahead of myself here because due to the fact that I'm away travelling at the moment I won't be starting my Masters until September 2008.

I am planning on doing a part time Masters in Marketing and was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on which colleges in Dublin have the best reputations for this course?

I did my communications degree in the UK so I'm not too sure which Irish colleges to start looking at.

    Thanks.

DCU, UCD (Smurfit), and DIT if you want to specialise in PR or Advertising.

Of those colleges listed, it seems like only DCU do a part time course. The rest are full time.

I too am looking to get into marketing. I already have a degree in journalism and I've spent the past two years in Google working on building AdWords accounts for clients, but I want to get further into marketing in general, and not just online.

A part time masters is the only type I could do though because I have a mortgage and stuff and can't afford to not work for 8 months. So I'm looking at the DCU one. It's described as an "Executive Masters". Whats that and whats the difference between it and a regular masters? I'm guessing its for people already in marketing, because the criteria to get into it include a primary degree in marketing already.

If that's the case, and you need a marketing background to get into it, do you reckon a degree in communications / journalism along with two years experience in Google would cut it?
