Connecting 360 to HDTV

I'm going to connect the my new 360 to my telly today. There's a cable here with Yellow, White and Red on one line and Red, Blue and Green on the other. On the side of my TV there's an input for the Red, White and Green. I assume the other 3 go in the back of the TV?

The problem with this is that I have the TV mounted to the wall and I have to take it down if I want to connect something. My Sky Box, DVD player and power supply are in the room behind the TV with the cables running through a hole in the plasterboard. All you can see from my living room is the TV with no cables in site.

I think I'm going to have to put a small shelf above the TV so I can put the Xbox there. How I change the channel with Sky is through these things:

Is there nothing similar I can get for the controllers so I can put the Xbox in the back room with the Sky Box and DVD player?

I actually had a question about connections when I started this thread but I forget that now.:o

Right first of for the HD your going to have to connect to the red, green, blue and then take the audio from either the optical out to an amp or from the red, white, into the audio input for same input as the red, green, blue connections.

As for the controllers if they are wireless they should work if the unit is in the room behind your LCD. the remotes wont as there infra red.

That's a suprise, wasn't expecting that. What remotes are you talking about? If they're infra-red they'll work through the Remote Control Extender I have.

What signal do the controllers use? If the signal can travel through walls then it solves all my problems.

Cheers. Delighted with that. :) The only thing is if I want to use the Xbox in another room I'll have to buy another cable as once it's in the main TV it stays there.

You can only use the xbox in the room you are in with the game controllers,as their range is limited.NO way to extendthe controllers exists at the moment.

The controllers use RF and I've had no problems using them from the otherside of a wall (only tried it for a few min). Might get a few glitchs if you are using it permenatly, just experiment and see how it goes.

If it's RF it should be fine as that signal goes through walls. Cheers.

Not true. I have my xbox 360 in the front living room and was able to use the controller upstairs in the back bedroom. So unless ya got 2ft thick lead walls it should be fine!
