Anyone ever been? Whats the standard like?

I was talking to one of the lads in the job on a work night out and he seemed to think it was a fish market that dripped money.
Does anyone here frequent and what can you tell me.

Regular tourneys?
Cash games (he said it was 1-2 PLH with a min sit down of €30!!!!! and a lot do just that.)

the club is in a snooker hall......i've played some tournaments down there....all self deal......i've heard the cash games are very soft though....never played them myself though....
i dont bother going anymore and wouldn't bother traveling to it if you live far away....

Live about 10 minutes away from it, so was thinking about dropping in. doesn't sound like its up to much. Self Deal? What a gyp

Hi DeadParrot,

I have been in talks with the Spa Hotel, Lucan and look like i will be doing a weekly tournament there on either Wed, Thur or Fri Nights from the middle to end of Jan.

Any idea on what game would go down there well, i think along the lines of €60 Freezeout or a 1 rebuy game.

Also if know of any other venues that direction that you think might be better let me know.

only the tournaments are self deal.....the cash game has a dealer.....if your just playing cash it would be worth a visit especially from what ive heard about the standard

get in there not just loose there fallen apart.EG1 utg raises, pot reraised twice b4 flop.flop akk, check,raise,reraise,call,call.turn 7 check,check,raise pot,call,call.river 3 i think check check raise pot call,call.. utg pk4s,mp pk9s and winner with ak and takes pot for bout 280E.EG2 at the table for 5 hours 2 lads called every BB and preflop raise there mate was a bit tighter he fold 2 preflop raises.only for work would still b sittin there;)
