Wii nightmare over but now I have two !!!!

Okay so I pre-ordered my Wii way back in September with Game. Almost nobody had pre-ordered at the time and there was virtually no buzz about it so I was pretty confident of getting one.;)

I rang up on the day of release and gave my details and pre-order code. They confirmed it was there and I could collect it after I had finished work. I arrived at 6pm and was told I was suddenly 80 odd in the list and I wouldn't be receiving my Wii. I was furious. No way had 80 odd people pre-ordered before me in this shop ! ANd they had already confirmed earlier it was there !!! They basically then accused me of lying about the earlier phonecall saying it had not happened.:mad:

Anyways I get HQ's no from them and rang on Monday morning. After explaining everything in apolite manner they gave me a call back. Suddenly my Wii is there in the shop and can be collected that evening.:eek:

I get to Game and the manager is ever so apologetic. I got my Wii and some bulls**t story about a mix-up and another manager not informing him.:rolleyes:

Anyways here's the thing. I had promised my GF this for Xmas and didn't want to let her down. So I bought one on eBay over the weekend. It will be arriving this week. Tomorrow most likely. I had to pay €450 for it, including shipping, so I'm looking to re-coup this. It's a Pal version so if anyone is interested then let me know.:cool:

Also the manager from Game informed me all of the accessories would be in on Friday. i.e. component cables, Wii play and Wii motes. So the remote shortage should be over soon.:D

i'll take it...

i didn't bother reading the post, just saw the title and thought it was standard I bought one, She bought one, kinda thing. So i rushed in and posted.

i won't be paying €450 for a Wii...

I already have someone at home that wants it at that price. I just thought I'd offer it seeing as there are so many people here desperate to get one. Just like I was over the weekend.

I'm not exactly making any profit here so I thought it might be a nice gesture for some parent who's desperate to get one for their kid.

You're a real humanitarian. Have to say I find it hard to believe that Game had a few lying around for you to come in and take one just cos you called up HQ. From what I have heard they were totally sold out.

It sounds more like you bought a Wii and made up this story to get around the rules here that prevent people from selling at such a mark up.

Well find it hard to believe then ! I couldn't care less how they got hold of one but they did coz HQ had obviously had a go at them for f**king me over and calling me a lier !

Belive what you want. I've no interest in making a profit on the Wii. As you can see here is the eBay listing:
