This news was buried in the earlier £5 voucher thread, so just to let you know, you can now order books from CDWOW.ie...

They seem to be available for delivery in Ireland if you buy from the Irish CDWOW site only. If you go to the UK CDWOW site it still says that they are only available for delivery to addresses in the UK.

So if you are in Ireland and want books from CDWOW you have to get them from the CDWOW.ie site.

BTW ... If you are still pimping your McDonalds €5 vouchers, they work on books too. Just ordered "WHY DON'T PENGUINS' FEET FREEZE?" for €7.99 with voucher. Gotta love those vouchers!

I found a number of books that I was interested in when I typed in the ISBN, none of which were listed on the Books homepage. For some reason typing the title or author didn't produce very accurate results.
So, using Muffinhead's advice, I searched on www.amazon.co.uk for the books I wanted, plugged in the ISBN number to www.cdwow.ie, and used my €5 vouchers on each one (if you have a few accounts that is.. also note that the selection is still not on a par with the likes of amazon, but searching using the ISBN number shows up a lot more titles that aren't listed elsewhere)

    Thanks lads!

(Better order sharpish though to be in time for de kreeesmuss! :D )

I've looked for a few books by author and title and I get a blank page. (This wasn't a serarch for an obscure author, it was Jeffrey Archer.) Their search function definately needs improving. Very disappointing! :(

Yeah, the author and title searches are krap-ola at the moment. Use the ISBN search mentioned above... Just tried it for Archer's "False Impression" - nothing under author, but ISBN from amazon (0330418823) returned the correct title!

Thanks for looking up that ISBN for Archer's new book. It's available on CDWOW alright- for €12.49 (and that's for the paperback!) http://www.cdwow.ie/detail_results_15.php?product_code=914893 Even with free delivery included that's expensive.

I'm glad I bought it in Tesco yesterday for €5.95. :)

Jeez, good ol Tesco!! Only for the McDonalds vouchers I probably wouldn't have ordered anything off it. We'll see how it goes. When the vouchers run out (31st of December I think) then I'd probably wait for a sale or more voucher-inos!! :)

Anyone found any good bargains on it?

I expected to see more generosity from CDWow books but, for example, the Michael Palin book for €25.49 on their site was €23.99 at Hughes and Hughes.

    Do they take Laser??

Yes, they take Laser. They don't charge postage on anything over €20. If you go through Pigsback, you also get points.
