    Hi,

I have a driving test next week with the new SGS crowd. I was just wondering whether anyone has done it in Deansgrange and could let me know the route that you went on.

    Would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Check out my earlier post.

Ended going through Monkstown village. I've also heard they go over the dual carriageway as well and drive around some estates in Deansgrange. Just get familiar with all the roads around there.

I'm doing mine there in a few weeks too, and I live in that area so sounds good. I've heard that they have a pretty high pass rate, is that true does anyone know?

I'll try be a bit more helpful.

I saw some testers along the clonkeen rd and the beechpark estate.
Myself I went right out the SGS gate up Kill lane -> kill ave. Lower mounttown, upper mountown, carrickbrennan rd I think. Through Monkstown Village.

I did my reverse around a corner off the Monkstown road in Monkstown Valley? at the back.
We ended up coming back Rowan park and Deansgrange road.

Sorry I can't remember it all as I'm not that familiar with those roads and I tend to get turned around.

I did it about a week and a half ago, Satuday morning at 8.30am so no traffic. Tester was very sound, really put me at my ease. Here's my route:

    http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=645417

Turned left onto Kill Lane, left onto Clonkeen Road, turned right into Beech Park, did reverse around the corner there. Back onto Clonkeen Road, upto Cornelscourt, turned left, then into some estate called the Park. Did 3 pointer in there. Went through the estate, came down a hill and ended up near the Magic Carpet. Went onto the N11 there, went south until Clonkeen Road, then straight back upto the test centre.

Yep, got it with a fair bit to spare :). Another place they do 3 pointers/reverse around a corner is another road off Clonkeen Road - don't know the name
