    Hi,
Is there such thing as a windows equivalent of the dos version of microsoft qbasic? I am using Notepad++ for editing and viewing code but it is really annoying me because I have to open up qbasic in DOS to test the program...
BTW I tried google and it threw up nothing but visual basic links...

    Thanks..

IIRC you can write command prompt applications in classic VB however I've never heard of a windows editor for qbasic. There was a DOS based IDE for it, maybe you should look for that.

Not MS-QBasic but you could try the FreeBasic compiler available from here - claims to syntax compatible with MS-QBasic plu many other features
