I'd have no problem recommending the A-Data - performs as well, and a good bit cheaper.

It depends on how far you want to push your memory. Both will run at 250MHz easily - if you wanna push them further then you could go for the Mushkin. But if PC4000 speed is sufficient for you then AData is your best bet. Take it from me, there are very few issues and RMAs with all AData RAM, it is good quality memory that works every time!

    cheers
wouldnt be over clocking much, have never used a-data before, and as thsi mobo choosey, know other with same mobo use both these memory
if i order it tonight ,will get maybe on friday with anpost, dont have much fate with dhl as always have probs with getting items on time,so dont see wasting my time with them, they say 1 day, more like 2-3 day,so better off with anpost
debating weather to wait for mushkin redline to arrive or not
very temped to just get a-data
so you say go for a-data
wondering ,which do you get more rma and issues with ,redlane or a-data

Ya, Anpost are ok really. There are some delays coz of xmas, but still a good chance u can have for Friday if u order now.

Low RMA rate on both brands but I'd be fairly sure A-Data is lower than Mushkin.

You got a great kit there... just a shame G.Skill have discontinued it. That kit was our best selling kit in the first half of 2006!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,799 ✭✭✭KELTICKNIGHTT

    cheers for that
will get A-DATA and save abit
when i upgrade again, will be getting ddr2 i guess,so would have to chang e ram again,

out of all the 2x1gb dual channnell kits you have
    which would you go for
    i only picked these 2
is there any better you stock

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 191 ✭✭jk2001

Those are two very good kits. I'd also recommend that CellShock PC4000 kit - so far not a single RMA on these kits!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 191 ✭✭jk2001

Yes again DHL have mucked up - those kits will now only be in tomorrow (that is if we are to trust DHL).

    Sorry mate.

ordered the A-DATA dual kit today as couldnt wait any longer as getting too close to xmass week
    cheers for all your help

this is where likes of mushkin and g;skill do good as you can go on there forums and ask for dram settings

As far as I remember, the settings are 3-4-4-8 - I'd say they'll boot with whatever setting you use already (as long as not CL2.5) and you can adjust in BIOS as you go along to fine-tune performance :)

    Good luck!
