Cone: This spell’s point of origin is the caster, and it spreads out from him/her like a fan, which ends 10-15 feet from point of origin. (Example: Burning Hands)

I have to say I never considered burning hands to be a cone area effect spell like cone of cold or cone of earth.

Cones being 1 of the 7 ways that a spell can effect it's surrounding,
many hapless magic users don't take the time to learn the difference and
as a result thier group can easily fall foul of spells cast by thier party memebers.

LAst thing you want is your party members failing thier saves to a cone of enfeeblement while the guys you are figthing pass.

If you're in front of them, I don't think "Get down" is going to make even the slightest difference :)

In the PnP game burning hands was always a fan effect (that could be arced which was pretty nifty for casting from behind a fighter meat-shield).

Cone of enfeeblement? Wasnt that originally ray of enfeeblement? ie: a single target spell.
