Simple Bluetooth Speaker Question

    Hi

    I was thinking of getting a bluetooth speaker for the folks for xmas.

    As they are complete technophobes (of course) i was wondering;
    To use a bluetooth speaker, do they have to do anything apart from switch on the speaker when they get in the car?
    I just mean, do phones automatically use the speaker once they detect it or will they have to get the phone to search for the speaker, and connect to it each time they get in the car?

    I'll have to think of another present if this requires any work on their part.

    many thanks for any help guys

    I have Motorola v550 and a Motorola Bluetooth speaker – HF800.

    Once the phone first connected with the speaker and recognised it after that all I ever have to do is is click the button on the speaker when I get in the car and they both connect up.

    You do have to make sure that the Bluetooth setting on the phone is switch on. Some people do not like having this setting on permanently, I have had no problems and it is very handy in the car.
