If you mean you can't get a bus from Drumcondra to Coolock, get any bus up the Swords road and change for the 17A at Coolock Lane (just after Omni). On the other hand, a bus coming up the Malahide road and heading for the airport would be very handy.

I believe Dublin Bus wanted to have the 27B running into the airport but the Gov put a block on this.IMO their would be good demand for this.

I believe they wanted to run a bus up the N32 and into the Airport but the DOT blocked it as Aerdart has the license to operate on that road even though they are not using it

On the Drumcondra/Coolock route the 51a runs from Beaumont hospital to the city centre via drumcondra but it is so little used that DB canceled it before Bertie made them put a skeleton service back on. People seem to prefer the 20B which at least has the benefit of the malahide Road QBC when it can get onto the malahide road.
The Beamount/whitehall area is a bit of a disaster for traffic at the moment maybe it might improve when the tunnel opens.

Although there is no direct link the 17A 103 104 all service the coolock area and connect directly with the Swords road/Ballymun road and the buses serving the drumcondra area
