    ACII DISCO AND CLAMPDOWN PRESENT…
    MELTDOWN
AT THE TEMPLE BAR MUSIC CENTRE
    NEW YEARS EVE

Following on from last years total sell out with record attendances for any NYE show in Temple bar music centre we present a night of old school legends and new school heroes all playing under the one roof and representing some of the best music that’s happening around the globe. Spread across 3 rooms we have the finest DJs and Live acts Dublin has to offer…

The main room boasts a very impressive line up of heavy hitters such as Arveene, Al Keegan, Glen Brady, Johnny Moy, Sourcecode, Deadbots and the Acii Disco DJs. Al and Arveene will headline the room and will be playing together/ringing in the bells with some of the finest electro house cuts there is…. both DJs have had great years in their own right with Arveene breaking the UK and playing to over 20,000 people at The Prodigy (Hi Fi) and Daft Punk (Bud Rising at Marlay park), not to mention his studio work which is getting great attention in the UK and beyond. Al Keegan is founder member of this year’s hottest club night Acii Disco which has been packing them in to the Hub every Saturday and is renowned for creating one of Dublin’s best clubbing atmospheres, he also hosts the amazing Mixed Salad one offs which have become the parties of the year by all accounts and is quite the DJ to boot.

Also in the main room are Johnny Moy and Glen Brady who are representing the old school, Glen AKA DJ Wool is now based in New York but he started out with Influx in Dublin, a one time DMC champ and a firm favourite in Dublin’s alternative club scene, as well as loads of solo tracks/productions he puts out, his band The Glass are getting huge props and have released music worldwide including mixes by Mylo and 20 20 soundsystem. Glen currently tours the world and has production credits with REM. Johnny has been playing clubs in Dublin and abroad since year zero, he has played all over the world in some of the most prestigious clubs. Amongst other things he still hosts one off Clampdown parties in Dublin, London and Berlin, production credits include U2, David Holmes, Consolidated and Millenia Nova.

With live sets also coming from ever popular Sourcecode who have just released their debut album “Contemporary Corruption” and have been destroying dance floors around Dublin from day one with their full on hi octane audio visual feast, and newcomers but soon to be huge Deadbots with very impressive live vocalist playing alongside the Acii Disco all star crew, quality here is assured!

Our second room of music will be dedicated to Broken Beats and Disco Treats. And will feature Bid Dish Go DJs alongside Paul Mordaunt, Breakology crew, Defekt, Spltitloop and Simon F. Those of you with a keen ear for breakbeat you should already be aware of Splitloop. Phil & Bren are a talented duo from Dublin. They met on a bus on the way to a Prodigy gig and hit it off after discovering a mutual respect for electronic music. Since then they have been locked away in their own studio developing a funk fuelled style of breaks which has won them the respect of The Plump DJ s, Tayo, Krafty Kuts and Soul Of Man amongst others. Simon F was born and raised in Ireland, before being uprooted and moved to Orlando, Florida in 1985. Quite quickly he latched onto the sound of early Hip-Hop and Miami Bass which was flooding the airwaves in the south at the time. After years of immersing himself in those and many other styles of music from Acid House to Industrial he happened upon Breakbeat, a sound which at the time was mainly coming out of Florida from artists like Icee and Dynamix II. Over the coming years decks were purchased and his lifelong obsession with the broken beat had firmly begun. Simon is one Dublin’s hardest working breaks DJs and always, always rocks the crowd.

Our third and final room will feature other BIG names from Dublin’s busy club scene who will be representing some of the city’s most popular club hang outs. We have here The Disco Infiltrators, Sean Hendrix, Calvin James, Barry Donavan, Blissgotheque and Mark Alton. All have been main players around Dublin clubs now for quite some time and are part of some of the city’s biggest nights. This room will be an electro / house haven with quality tracks guaranteed all night.

Doors will open at 9pm. Tickets are available through Big Brother. Selectah and Spindizzy records and are priced e20
Last years event sold out so tickets are advised to avoid dissapointment. Really hope to see you there!
