Competent accountant for IT Contractor

Hey folks,

Apologies if this has been asked and answered before but search doesn't seem to be working and I've trawled through pages of previous posts to no avail.

Briefly, I'm looking for accountant / accountancy firm recommendations from anyone working in IT contracting. I'm looking for someone who'll handle company set up, payroll, VAT, tax returns, etc. and who, ideally, will also be able to advise on the personal finance side of things - tax, pensions etc. That said, I'd be happy to hear tell of any firm who provide the usual services competently and efficiently for a reasonable fee.

If anyone has any views on going with a regular accountant vs. accounting firms specializing in the contracting arena, I'd love to hear them.

try www.noonecasey.ie (Brian Terry) - i use them and so do a number of friends / other contractors i've met - very competent/efficient and will handle all your needs - I would advise you to setup company yourself however - just use www.companysetup.ie - much cheaper than accountant and the same effort required.
