Horizontal channels not working?

I have a pace sky box with a sky sub in my main room and a panasonic sky box without a sub in my bedroom. My pace box works fine, but i cant get any Horiz channels on the panasonic, and some of the V ones are dodgy too. Could this be a dodgy lnb or cabling problem? its not the box as i tried a lidl silvercrest instead of the panasonic and i get the same result (the silvercrest actually told me the offending channels were Horiz, with a few V's) The Lnb is a quad, and the dish is a sky minidish, the cabling to the second box is the crappy lidl cable that came with the silvercrest.

    Any advice?

    Could be LNB or box

Try swapping the two recievers around and see what happens

As you've tried two receivers with the same results, I'd say either LNB or the cabling. Especially if it's that thin RG59 stuff that used to come with Lidl systems.

Ulsterman:Thats what i said, i tried the slivercrest instead of the panasonic to see if it was a box problem. Its not a box problem. I dont want to have to move my pace to find out something i already know.

Byte: i actually tried one cabling (lidl) and two boxes....

You could try swapping the 2 cables at the LNB, to eliminate the LNB as a culprit.

IIRC it's 13V for Vertical and 18V for Horizontal so if the boxes can't put out enough power I'd extect no Horizontal. Though could also be the LNB or maybe there is corossion on the cable so there is a slight voltage drop on it.

Yes, this is what I was also thinking. Either corrosion, or the cable is just no good.

That sounds plausible, wheres a good place to get good quality cable, pref not online? and what cable should i be asking for?

CT100, QF100 or equivalent. It's basically screened with copper braid, and copper foil.
