    In and around 2ish

    Thanks Big-Slick,

    Didn't see this till now!

We aim to have the tournament finishing up about 2am so people can get a decent nights sleep. However we do not shorten the blinds or have any negative impact on the clock, we try to make out tournaments as playable as possible. And if the need arises the tournament can go on till 7am (thankfully never happened to me so far!).

    Regards

    Stephen

Ok gotta use the forum to find out who won this thing. It got very crapshooty at the end. Average stack 35Kish blinds were 3k-6k at final table BUT seen as it designed to finish at 2.00ish I suppose it can't be any other way.
When I exited 7th (with a cold nose) for a paltry few quid (well I won the satellite in again so no crying ) Dennis 'I predict a' Reyes was going strong and Albert K had just doubled up with KK. I was refusing to accept my card death so decided to push with K9 1 off ze button (ideally named hand to dog someone ) and ran in AK on ze damn button. bye bye . Anyway who won this?

A few comments before anyone comes rushing in to mention it. IT WAS FFFFFrrrrrreeeeezout Ciiittty, the room was an IGLOO
It was like the Eskimo NL holdem championships , the usual room was christmas partied by some company so we were banished to Greenland. I don't think people will play in that room again. ( It was so cold I had to go outside to heat up).
The gas blowers called in to heat the room up stank to the high heavens, turned me right off the susages. ( no bad thing there) anyway despite all this is was a good toruny until the latter stages. Which leaves me to ask...

Why not have it at 7 ( and a bit closer to the equator)

    Rgds

    Hi Chilly Willie,

    The results are above.

I will look into the issues raised and contact the hotel to resolve them. Thanks for your feedback. Your points will be taken very seriously and hopefully infuture will not happen again.

I apologise to yourself and all players who participated on behalf of PokerEvents and we will do our best not to have a repeat of last night. We do appreciate that the Red Cow do their best to accomondate us and will do their best not to have a repeat performance.

I will see you next week there,

    Regards

    Stephen

PS. I hope you have warmed up since!!

well done young Albert (1 to watch) and I'm glad that Mario fellow did well, he bubbled the satellite unluckily and played solid throughout.

id agree with both of those thing, dennis a nice guy to play with, and off the table. albert also playing very well recently, has cashed in about 70% of the tournaments he has played recently id say. he has won/2nd the jackpot a few times in recent weeks and cashes often in red cow/fitz, also a very nice guy.

iv played with you a few times Ole, would be nice to see that sense of humour of yours out a bit more!

it takes one to know one .:)

which fellow are you then g'luck? The sense of humour is not always appreciated and is frequently flying above geeky heads. (well in the poker world anyway) I've not played much this last while, just got a new car so it took a wack of dosh outa me.. buying a car is -EV:) My New Year Poker plan will be a game in pokerevents on Monday and/or the fitz Friday night scalps Alternating with some SE visits and a few visits to our pals in the pub games. (JP- Nick) That's my plan but I'm told by (as Arthur Daly would say) 'er indoors' to curb this silly fad or else she'll come in and join me    so a curbing is looking likely.

    Hi Stephen,
Can you please advise which room this will be held in tonight.

    Regards - WH

Edit : To some this might seem like a stupid question, but trust me, its actually quite important.

    Hi WH BONNEY,

As far as I'm aware we are in the Exhibition Centre again this week (Red Cow Christmas Parties). The hotel have assured us that the room will be heated and I am heading out at 4pm to make sure conditions are optimum.

I'll do my best to ensure a good nights poker

    Hope to see you there

    Regards

    Stephen
