    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good hotel in Hanoi?

We are getting there just after xmas and plan to stay for a couple of nights. I'm willing to pay almost western rates ... I guess around 100/night per double room.

Any other Hanoi tips also appreciated.

Replying to my own thread here, in case anyone is searching for the same thing in future.

We stayed at the Hotel Elegance, which I would highly recommend. Well located in the middle of the old quarter, nice staff and close to everything. We booked through Agoda.com

I stayed there myself in August. I remember seeing your question the first time you posted but couldn't for the life of me remember the name of the hotel. Lovely rooms and dead sound staff. Excellent location.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll probably go back.
