simply a case of not enough supplied to retailers by nintendo.

same reason why wii-play is scarce

and same reason why there are no scart or component cables :(

Nintendo you knew you were launching on the 8th, it didnt occur to you that people buy accessories ?

    muppets.

nunchuks are a dime a dozen as with the Classic Controller but the Wimote is like golddust at the moment

Bit harsh tbh, I imagine they are producing as many accessories as they can, how is it their fault? If they delayed the launch of the Wii until they had a surplus of accessories then more people would be compaining. Just be patient.

they had wiimotes in game henry st tonight, for 49.99

i picked one up, and immediately regretted it, just for the price. will wait til they get wiiplay back in and exchange it, unless someone wants it for face value? haven't taken it out of the bag

Same, I blew all my money on another two, but at least I had €15 on the GAME card to use, but still - the pricing in Ireland is ridiculous! And some people are trying to justify it with VAT rates etc., when many other EU countries have the same VAT rate as us

gamestop just off henry street (what is that street called?) is full of wiimotes today I saw.

but the pricing is still nasty.

Gamestop in Galway got them in today and had a good few that I could see. Had Wii Play in stock as well which I bought - for €49.99, €5 cheaper than Game.

WiiPlay is in GameStop on Henry Street, 49.99. They have Wiimotes by themselves also. No Nunchuks.

HMV on Henry Street, however, have the Nunchuks - 24.99.

EDIT.. It says they have nunchucks and the classic controller needed for the virtual console. Not the controller though.
    Sorry about that.
