wii online down?

i havent been able to get the wii on line all evening or even get to www.nintendo-europe.com, is the system down?

Think it was mentioned elsewhere but the servers are moer than likely overloaded as it's launch day and everyone is downloading everything! I'd say it'll be back soon, hopefully..

I just got through a few mins ago but it doesnt seem to want to link with my Wii???

It's been working fine for me since earlier on today. I also managed to link in my nintendo-europe account but obviously the servers would be getting hit quite heavily today. If it doesn't work for you intially just give it a while and try again.

still not been able to get the update its been running for 1.5 hrs now and seems to be sitting at about 50%

Weird.Fully updated my system the second I got home.
With no problems, just took a little while that's all but the progress bar didn't stop going up.

Anyone know when weather and news will be up?
And what Games will be added for purchasing next Monday?
Oh and when you will be able to download the browser?

It took me a while too to get my update, but i did choose a connection that was slow, once it does finish i picked a faster one. And all is now dandy.

That happened me yesterday morning too. Incredibly nervously, I turned it off, turned it on again (practically ****tin myself) but it came on again and I ran the update again no problems!

finally got it working!!

turns out it was my wireless router acting the maggot (linksys)
changeed the wireless channel from 6 to 9 and hey presto

Happened to me as well when i turned it off twice cos it just tried updating itself straight away when it was turned on. Freaked me out and this was at around half 1 in the morning, i was already quite sleep deprived from the long day. But fortunately it finally finished. I thought i had broke it.

Yeah, when the update stopped, and I turned it off and on again (The IT Crowd! ) the update started automatically, and I was so nervous that it'd be corrupted and I'd have to send it back to Nintendo!!!
