Wii insider info regarding stocks

I have heard it on *good* authority that the next shipment of wiis won't actually take place until the first week of january. apparently ireland was given a generous portion of launch day Wiis and Nintendo won't be fulfilling any console orders until then. However, games & accessories will continue to be replenished. Count your lucky stars if you managed to grab a Wii because it will be at least another month before any retailer will receive more.

They will ship 4 million worldwide by end of year, which indicates about another 2 million or more still to be shipped, theyve promised regular deliveries on numberous websites.

I was informed in xtra-vision today (waits to be corrected)

that the next shipment they'll recieve is on tuesday (this is for Xtra-Vision thurles, which only got one wii today.)

my dad went in at both 4.30 to extra vision dundalk................they only got way their deliery today so they only gave people who had preordered before nov a console
i was nov 5
they say next fri.........but i dont trust them

You gotta love the stock response from the nintendo high ups "wii are delighted sales went so well on the first day" lets face it, they (like all consoles pretty much on launch day) are going to sell every one the shops have.

just talked to a friend who works in game in cork, he also says tuesday is when the next shipment is due.

But he could be wrong (he was telling me gamestop still had Wii in stock today.)

Cool. Tuesday is one of our delivery days.. I thought it was friday, but if it's Tues, then that's even better again.

Er...I know I'm a wii (wee...wii geddit? I'll get me coat) bit late, but what're the odds there'll be any left over for me to pre-order and get my grubby mits on?

/edit: Well I don't really care what you all say, I'm spending most of today on the phone looking for somewhere that'll give me one, but if anyone had any vague idea that could boost my confidence...

Chances of getting one today are zero. Don't think anyone can really say after that for sure cos nobody knows how many more Nintendo are bringing in, I would imagine it's unlikely you'll have one in the next week though.
