    This is a really stupid problem but one of my colleagues in work has somehow managed to change/turn off alter the Outlook inbox symbols on his pc. inboxSymbols.gif

    It's quite important that he sees who he has replied/ forwarded messages to. At the moment all he has are the envelopes and whether they are "read" or not. and when he forwards a message this symbol does not change. How does he get the forwarded/replied symbols back?

    Any help very much appreciated as i can't seem to figure it out.....

    Sorry took a while to find a Office 2000 machine, very strange problem, I cant figure out where/how he could have possibly turned it off.

    First thing I would try and do would be to run "Repair and Detect" from the help and hope that fixs it. Its like he deleted the other Symbols.

    Ill keep looking into a few things and see how it goes, let me know if the Repair works.

    Can you get a screenshot of his Inbox? blur out the emails or something

    right click on the field headdings (from to size etc.) and choose field chooser and then drag and drop the icon to the bar

    if anyone knows how to reset outlook user interface to a previous saved one or default I'd like to know - please.

    Out of curiosity. What version?

    Try this. Should work very similar for Office 2000 aswell.
    let me know if successfull

    If you install the Office 2003 Resource Kit, the Profile Wizard folder will
    contain a file named RESETO11.INI. Run the Office Profile Wizard with this
    file as the .ini file (the ORK provides the documentation) to create a new
    ..ops file that will reset just about every Office option. Or you can choose
    to reset just Outlook. You can then have the client run the .ops file with
    the OPW (or the Save My Settings Wizard, which is the same tool) in a login
    script or whatever means you prefer.
