Hi if anyone has a spare pre-order I'll buy it from them for €70.
Thats you're €20 deposit back and €50 for your troubles.

Would make the little one a happy camper this Xmas.

    Cheers

Yep, deadly serious, should have pre-ordered, I know, I know, I'm a terrible father.

Could get him an Xbox instead but I think he (and me :D ) will have more fun with the Wii.

I would understand it if I were selling one but all I'm asking is if anyone has a spare pre-order I would take it off their hands, get them their deposit back and something for their troubles. That's all.

I've been all over the city this morning, believe me, I've tried my best.

Your best bet would be to call around a few places see if you can get it anywhere without a pre-order (although I seriously doubt it for the 'usual suspects' like Smyths, GAME, GameStop etc... try somewhere like Argos, maybe even Tescos or similar).

Smyths were telling people today that they'll be selling any left-overs (i.e. pre-orders that weren't collected) from Sunday.. so it could be worth checking various places then too.

And, as far as I know, there's another shipment or two coming in before Christmas - most of which is probably pre-booked but still, it increases your chances.

OP - keep checking on argos.ie to see if there are any in stock, at least then you'll be able to reserve a wii on their website for free!

Go to a customer service stand in Argos and ask them to ring you when they get their next shipment in. That's what I did on Wednesday and they said I was the first person to ask to do that, and that'd call me the minute they get their next shipment. No payments down.
Course if they call I can tell them I already have one now.

Your best bet now I'd say is hoping to pick up one of the no-show pre-orders so sunday and monday morning in smyths, game, gamestop and extravisions around the place (did you see the post today about the extravision in clondalkin having 6 wii's at 12.37, if you run over there...), but yeah early morning dash from shop to shop on sunday and monday. Btw tesco (any branches) aren't selling any for launch day - got an email off them tis morning. Well best of luck, I'm in the same boat myself..
