Correct me if I'm wrong, but what the **** is the story with this???
First they screw us over by giving Europe the PAL releases of VC games, and now this...

Chances are this was common knowledge and I just missed it, but up until I opened the classic controller case I was under the impression that you get 2000 points with it:(

That's pretty weird that you simply assumed that. I never heard anything like that anywhere.

Never thought it would have points with it. Now that I think about it, that would have been nice, yea. Got myself 2000 points anyway.

Is it that much of a big deal having the PAL version of the games? What difference is it going to make, aside from ever-so-slightly lower frame rates? (that's the main difference between 50 and 60hrz isn't it?)

AFAIK Japan got an offer where they'd get a classic controller free if they bought so many Wii Points, 4,000 if I remember correctly.

    Big borders as well
compare a game like Starwing (PAL) with Starfox (NTSC) and you'll definitely notice the speed difference.

I love how easy they make it to get Wii points in the Wii shop... only took a few seconds to put my credit card details in and order 1000 points:)

I guess this VC points thing must've just been a rumour, the last I heard of it was before the US launch and never heard anything to the contrary, so just assumed that they got the free VC points as well...

Big borders? Even with an 'old-skool' standard-definition TV? I've never seen anny borders on 50hrz PAL games before.

Can you not set the TV to 'zoom in' in a bit or something?

Downloaded Donkey Kong Country, no borders to be seen, and seems to run just fine! :)

Oh, and the thing with the classic controller and the wii points, there was to be a bundle where if you bought 5000 points then you got a free classic controller with it, but I think they might have scrapped that.

nice to see that I still remember most of the secret areas 12 years on:p
