Turning Suffering & Happiness Into Enlightenment

A Practical Course Exploring The Methods & Benefits Of Buddhist Meditation Practice.

Amidst the tremendous uncertainty of our lives, we all need to find a way to meet fear, anxiety, difficulties, and crises. We need to find a way to understand them, transform them and overcome them with a deeper acceptance, insight and compassion. This is how we will discover the peace of mind, inner strength, stability and fulfillment that will give us the inner refuge we need so much, to face the challenges of the world today.
This course is based on the text, Turning Suffering and Happiness into Enlightenment, by the great Tibetan Buddhist master Dodrupchen Jikmé Tenpé Nyima. Both "happiness" and "suffering" depend entirely on how the mind perceives them; and the way we deal with them depends entirely upon our attitude. Working with our attitudes to life, we can employ the power of reason to analyze our delusions, disturbing emotions and even basic assumptions. With the help of this kind of training, we can learn how to cope with even great problems when they arise, such as sickness and the crises of life, and transform the difficulties around us, to find—simply speaking—a way to lasting peace and happiness.

"By following this teaching, every situation becomes a source of awakening, everything becomes useful, everything teaches you.

Everything purifies you, everything opens your eyes and your heart, and you can begin to see suffering and difficulties, as well as happiness, as an extraordinary opportunity, which make us grow wiser and more compassionate, for the benefit of both ourselves and others.

In fact it is through benefiting others, that our life becomes truly meaningful." Sogyal Rinpoche

The focus of this 11-week course is the study of a complete cycle of teachings by Sogyal Rinpoche on this important text. This course presents the approach of Sogyal Rinpoche, based on the oral lineage of instruction and guidance handed down to him by his teachers in the Nyingma or ‘ancient’ tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. To undertake this course, you should have experience of meditation practice. Course cost 80 Euros, concessionary rate 55 Euros. Contact us if the fee presents a genuine problem for you as the teachings are beyond price.
