Been keeping an eye on a few threads and now that it's been launched I just wanted to know what kind of pricing is on it in terms of the unit itself, games and accessories? Is it cheaper in some places over others and the big question, what are the chances of finding one without pre booking? Also, when is the next batch set to arrive?

    Any feedback apwiiciated;)

Only one I know for sure is GAME, they're doing the console (comes with Wii Sports, controller, nunchuck, composite cable) for €270, or that plus Wii Play and another game for €385. (Which is what I'm getting)

The games seem to be either €55 or €60 from what I can tell.

I'll post more later after I pick mine up.

You;ll be waiting a while though! I've only had half an hour on mine so far but I'm liking it. Definitely worth it and prices seem to be about the same everywhere for the consoles and vary by a few euros on the games etc.

Nope. I've two. Only one set of nunchuks though and I forgot the second one with nunchuks at home. Dammit! And I don't drive so can't pick em up. It was actually sorta hard to track down the second one.

Anyone able to answer this question?

Will any usb/ethernet adaptor work to use the wii's online service?

Dont have wireless atm, and the "offical" nintendo ethernet connector aint out till 2007.

    A quick google :(

"The Nintendo Wii LAN adapter is required to connect the Wii console to a wired router. According to Nintendo, “non-Nintendo” Wii LAN adapters are not copatible with the Wii console, ao if you want a wired connection for your Wii, this is the only way to do it."

That would most likely work over here as well, don't take my word for it though:p

Grumpy, as far as I know, you can connect with WIFI, so you can pick up a wireless router (pc world for €25 eircom pack;)) and connect that way!

Will it be compatible with my non eircom service provider though?

Cool, another question for this general thread:

how comes the fancy blue light on the wii only comes on for a second or two when you turn it on? is there a setting to make it stay on...
