my question is similar to another one in the forum but i'll go ahead with it any way. I've seen series one (bought the boxset) and thought it was class, and i now see that series 6 is starting on sky in January. Is day 6 totally seperate to the other days or will i need to watch series 2-5 in order to understand the characters, plot etc in day 6?

Well.. no doubt past incidents in the show will be referenced in Day 6 (as the circumstances regarding Day 6 revolve around a plotline which took place at the end of Day 4)..

.. i shall say no more!

But yes.. you should watch them in order to watch Day 6.

PS - i only caught up in the last month.. but gunning for Day 6 now! :D

Days 2 - 5 will be ruined if you don't watch them before Day 6. Simple as that.

You could skip 2 and 3 and watch 4 but you will need to watch 4 before seeing 5, However 4 is not the best in the series.

I stopped watching after day 3 and began asking questions at the beginning of Day 5 so I had to buy Day 4 on DVD to catch up.

I as I look at it Days 1, 2 and 3 relate to one another and Days 4 and 5 relate to one another.

Every now and then a character or plot from each of the days in mention in the current day and that can be confussing(if you haven't seen the previous day). But then the main plot that surrounds Day 1 is the climax of things that happened before day 1 started. I.e. Looking to revenge jack actions in eastern europe and the killing of the president's daughter's rapist.

I think if you start watching day six only after watching day 1 you will ask the following questions, I put the spoilers on but don't view the questions a major spoilers, but just in case
    1. Why was jack captured by China? 2. What happened to Nina, Pres Plamer, Tony and of course Kim? 3. Why do they want to kill Jack? (this will definately relate back one of the previous days)

In conclusion yes go watch Day 2, 3, 4 and 5. They're great TV. :D
