Travel Insurance - Water Damage

    Hey,
    Was wondering if anyone knows if standard travel insurance that lists "Personal baggage" include water damage? My bag was soaked in transit and now my phone and ipod arent working :(

    Or would they say its my fault for not double packing or something?

    [standard response] Have you checked the Ts&Cs of your insurance? Policies can vary[/standard response]

    I damaged a camera a couple of years back but wasn't covered. That was with VHI. In fairness it was my own clumsy fault it got damaged. I guess it boils down to what your insurer defines as baggage.

    It doesnt mention water damage - or cause of damage.
    Just baggage cover - so my question really should be...

    With Comprehensive Travel Insurance what is covered under the term 'Baggage Cover'?
