Dealing with BFSL

Before i start I just want to say I started a new thread as the other one was went a bit sour with the "seemingly" plugging tone and i've dealt with them so want to report back. Also want to say i'm not the plugging type so this isnt a blatent plug.

Just dealt with BFSL today having been talking to one of the lads for the past day or 2.

I have to say i'm well impressed. They don't have a walk in shop as of yet because they have just got into the retail selling side of buisness but i was allowed to call to the office were he had some stuff to have a look at another hand-gun as he didnt have the one i originaly wanted. I also wanted to get some BB's and Gas and didnt want to wait.

Easy enough place to find and if you buy from them you can either collect from the office or have it posted out to your door for about another 10euro or so.

Spoke to the guy there and he was very easy going and is into the sport himself as well as practical shooting (airsoft AND 9MM:eek: )

Spent about 2 hours in the office chatting about the M15 i wanted and he said he could have it in by next friday hopefully so i ordered it and also a second hi-cap for it.
While there I also tried out a few pistols he had there one of which was a full metal Sig, a bit heavy for a leg holster but VERY NICE and had a lovely kick to it.

    Also tried a CA AK47 :
    http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=6655
which i just loved the look of so took it there and then and stuck a 2nd hi-cap for this on the order i had made.

So all in all a great place to buy, Is a little priceier then Hong Kong but is cheaper the the UK and no risk of orders going missing or getting caught for tax as its already included.

    My final purchase was :
    CA M15A4 SPC w/ Batt+Charger+a 300rd hi-cap mag
    CA SLR105 A1 (AK47) w/ Batt+Charger+a 500rd hi-cap mag
    Second hi-cap for the M15 (300rd)
Second hi-cap for the SLR (500rd)
    700ml Gas
    Jar of 4000 BB's

Of which i got a VERY good deal on and didnt have to pay the full money up front.

Not going to go into prices for weapons as it migt seem to much like advertising and the prices could be getting cheaper if there is a large interest in buying, but for Consumeables, the gas was 15quid and the 4000 BB's were 20quid. Both good value.

what brand of BB's? 20 quid seems like a lot.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

To be hosest im not sure but they are better then the white ones, they are blue BB's. The white ones are 6000 for 20quid. Compared to predator where its 10sterling for 3500.

That's an excellent price for BBs. The best I've come across online is fire support. Usually work out at about €25 after postage costs for 6000 Excel.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

the jar/bottle of 6000 are excel or gold fire i think. i know he has excel anyway, the ones i got though (4000) are even higher quality. they are polished like the way tools are polished with stones. at least thats the look on them. alot smoother then the white ones. there .23g BB's.

Ballymount Field sports...where is Ballymount anyway? I've never heard of it. Wouldnt mind picking up some BBs there myself. I think I'm down to half a speed loader full. which probably equates to 3 seconds of Mac 11. damn

Could you please give a few prices? What is the cheapest gun he had there? I'm abit low on money but dying for a new gun!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 585 ✭✭✭Wanton

Derek i think his name is, he is also very helpful over the phone!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

I dont want to give out prices as the ones i know may not be final prices as he is only starting out but if you are looking for something in particular give him a shout on the mobile number and he wil help you out.

I hadnt a clue were ballymount was till i was on the way out yesterday to him. done a quick google map search for dublin M50 and found it. if you go through the toll bridge towards the red cow take the slip road AFTER the red cow and follow the road straight past the 1st round about, left at the next, then right then straight until maxol/O'Briens and turn right again. then give him a ring, your there.

hey spitfire is the sig really that heavy. was about to order the kj works one but if its too heavy in a leg holster then it might be impractical for a skrimish i might go for a mauri instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,337 ✭✭✭moneyman

Spitfire, could you give me a PM with some of the prices, I know they may not be final but you'd be doing me a big favour as I'm just looking for an idea of how much I'd be paying. Is that sig his or is it for sale? Cheers.

Its the KJworks SIG that he is selling. its his one i was looking at but he does have em for sale too. Its not too heavy, i found my tm glock to be a bit awkward in the leg holster aswell so it could just be me.
Its a nice piece and it sounds great with the metal slide. it'd be fine in a holster on a vest or if you had a a leg holster with a proper fitting i suppose. I hadn't got the belt for mine when i was using it.

I have a feeling it might just be the leg holster you're finding awkward. They seem to take a little getting used to. My Mac fits in it perfectly but does feel a bit heavy. Might be awkward running around with it there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

As i said, i didnt have the holster on right as i hadnt got a belt, just had the belt strap through my belt loop on the pants. I might see about getting a lend of it for predator next week.

Mine didnt come with a belt.Been looping it around one i have already. seems to do the job. It just feels odd on my leg. Seems like something that I'd totally adjust to or would totally forget was there. one or the other. Just have to try it out i guess.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

neither did mine, what i mean is i didnt have a belt on at all. i attached the belt loop on the holster to the belt loop on the pants i was wearing.

Ah that's what i did. I had to loop it a bit higher then it was meant to be. I'm not exactly short but the holster was way too far down my leg.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,337 ✭✭✭moneyman

I might get my brother to go into him he's in college in UCD. Could anyone give directions?? Is he easy to deal with to get BB's cause my brother knows absolutely nothing about airsoft, I just want BBs. As in could he just go in and ask for BBs and get them no problem?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,306 ✭✭✭NeMiSiS

Ballymount is the exit before the Red cow if you were heading Nth Bound on the M50, where about are they in there ?

Not too sure but I was talking to one of the guys there today about getting gas for my P226 and he said that they are at the Walkinstown Roundabout end of that industrial estate which would make it about 2 miles or so in from the M50. I should be popping in there during the week to get the gas so I will drop you a PM with the directions unless someone else can provide them for you.

    WOW!!!!1

i just called them there and they said that they were out of bbs (want some for the p90) but they should be getting some in soon, then i asked if they were near any buses because i (obviously) can't drive, guess what he offered then!!! well actually i'd like to know too because it was a bad connection but it was along the lines of, i live 10 mins from him so he'll come to me and EITHER 1 give me a lift there OR 2 bring the stuff here!!! now which ever it was that is good service!!!!

Just to let people know, the teflon blue .23 bbs he sells are great. I was worried about them a bit actually.

They're still visible in flight, cut through shrubbery excellently and pack a nice punch :D

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

any white 0.23's per chance, I sometimes load my shoty with 0.2's in the left and right barrel and 0.25's for the centred one [for the added accuracy] but id say there mite be to much of a difference in speed between em, id like to give 0.23's a try for the middle barrel and my beretta mght benifit from em 2.

No white .23s as far as i know. He just has white .20. Someone mentioned that teflon was bad for your barrel. I'm gonna check that out before I buy any more of them.

But still, fantastic bbs. You can see them in flight but they cant. Good in that they cant dodge your shots. Although I think sometimes if people cant see the shot they dont count it as a hit. Rather annoying as I'm pretty sure at one point I peppered a guy twice yet he still kept attacking me.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

its odd on my friends m4 we can never see the bb's in flight, really dont know why cos it fires the same speed as my shoty and i can always see that spread, were going give it a good try out 2morrow to see whats up with it

With blue or white? I take it you mean on semi auto? If you can't see the shots on full auto I have a feeling it just aint firing anything :P lol

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

white on any firing mode, its always getting a bit dull outside by the time we get to use it but still, i always tought it just wasnt firing but the midcaps run out pure fast, we'll hopefuly know 2morrow what the story is with it

Odd. You really should be able to see them. What make is it? If its a cheap one it might just have a really low ROF. That'd explain the lack of seeing anything.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,518 ✭✭✭[--SC(+)PE--]

Marui, its probably sometin stupid, we'll see

oh they're not? excellent. So they're just dyed blue then. I'll be getting more of them so. Really was impressed with how they ripped through bushes.

Oh, did N.O.I.P contact you about your gear? I gave it to him last week.
