Thinking of getting the GF an iMac for Xmass... She used macs in college for photoshop n premiere work n instead of getting another pc in the house i thought a mac would be a nice change..

    Few questions..

1: Where's the cheapest/best place to get one?
2: Has software(adobe photoshop/premiere) been updated for the intel chipset yet?
    3. Doest the monitor(20" model) have any inputs.. Would like to still be able to dock her laptop using the macs monitor.
4: I take it that i can use a mac on the same network as my pcs using the inbuilt wireless.?. Is it possible to access the mac from a pc n vice versa over a network.. ie. to share files.?.
5: Does all software have to be writen for macs to work?? Ie. if i download something off the net i take it that it has to be mac specific??

Prob have more but cant think at the mo.. I know absolutly nothing about macs, suppose half the idea of getting one is for me to mess about on it :p:p

Any advice that can be thrown my way will be much appreciated..
