speccing?

    right i'm feeling i wanna start a new character, another warlock(possiblely mage, open to suggestions) don't like warrior, rouge malarky really.

    Just wanna get the low down on speccing, I've read the wow forums and tbh its a bit confusing, i got to lvl 45 with my last lock and i'd like to start one that i can run to the end game and be happy with, can i simply respec my current or what, i know it costs gold but is it as good as me starting from scratch?

    You can respec your current... the only thing is if you've to get new ranks of talent-learned spells you'll have to pay for those at your trainer. Have a look at some builds, decide what you want to do with your lock, and spec accordingly.

    Yes you can respec which will cost your probably only 1g if its your first respecc on that char, or with the release of the new patch once you login your char will have respecced automatically free of charge so you can go for the new spells.

    And dont worry too much about having to buy the new talent spell upgrades, they cost alot less than your normal spells. My priest had to rebuy mind flay rank 2,3 and 4 which only cost like 25-30 silver for all 3 upgrades

    cool, so i can go for a leveling build to 60 then respec for raids/pvp if needs?

    After this patch all talent points have been refunded because of the new end tree talents and a respec will cost you nothing.

    Unless you want to change from Alli to Horde or vice versa there is no need to re-roll your char, unless you really really enjoy the early levels.

    If you have your mount already why not try out a couple of different trees and play with each for a level or two to see which suits your play style.
