    if anyone has one of hese . the sister got one but her pc has 2k pro on it .
    the cd says for windows xp.
    does this mean she got to upgrade ?or is it saying for xp as its the current os people are using?

    lots of people still use older operating systems, so not many companies risk isolating what could ba a sizeable customer base.

    The software you got might work, but if that doesn't work, download & install number 4 from this page, see how that works for you.

    Creative released a legacy OS driver for some of their MTP players.
    Zen V isn't in the list, but it's worth a shot:

    Filename is

    P4S_PCDRV_US_1_01_00.exe

    You can paste the filename in on their driver download page
