Hi there. Can anyone recommend a company for general insurance cover for 1 year in Asia and Oz. I'll be travelling through Malaysia, Thailand and Oz, and maybe Laos, Vietnam and Loas aswell. Has anyone heard anything good, bad or indifferent about Blue Insurance, Getcover.com, Qouteme.ie or Top travel Insurance? Thanks.

I have been with ACE online insurance for years, they offer me the best package and also insure me for winter sports too !! If you're a pigsback member you can get piggy points by joining up with them too...plus they cover your partner too if you have one....

Does that mean I can get cover for say €315 and my missus does'nt need cover, ie: she'll be covered by my cover?

I wouldn't reccomend Blue Insurance. Oneof my friends had to go home early, rang their 24 hour helpline and was told that they would call her back after 9am.

Long story short, they pretty much ignored her claim, she had to organise and pay for everything herself and last I heard she was threatening them with legal action.

I'll steer clear of them so Guess_who. Thinking of going with Top insurance or Ace... Working out around €200 - €250 per person for the year, which aint too bad..
